Music lovers living in the PAL territories will have a new haven in the PlayStation 3 come June 11. That will be when Sony launches VidZone, a new music video application, via the PlayStation Network.
VidZone is a free service that will be available via the PlayStation Store, and will contain more than 10,000 videos from the outset. Promised artists include the Pussycat Dolls, Tori Amos, Britney Speakers and Fatboy Slim, among others.
The service allows for custom libraries and platlists, making it a nice alternative to the likes of iTunes or even Youtube. Playlists can also be created via the PlayStation Portable and accessed later via the PS3 (no streaming the PSP, apparently).
<p.
VidZone should be available for download Thursday on PAL PS3s. In the meantime, the official site can be found here. Sound interesting to you?
